She was born in Cape Town and studied Graphic Design at the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town under Neville Dubouw, Carl Buchner, May Hillhouse and Norman Waher. She then travelled extensively and worked predominantly in design, textiles and fashion.
Given her involvement with and enjoyment of nature, and specifically the water element, it is not surprising that her paintings so evocatively express these universal themes in both the subject matter and the medium she chooses.
